Begin your new life together at the birthplace of the apostolic church, Echmiadzin (Cathedral, St. Guyaneh, or St. Hripsimeh); or at Khor Virap, at the foot of Mt. Ararat.
Wed in the stunning surroundings of Geghard Monastery, with its rock carved chapels; or at Sevanavank, against the backdrop of an aquamarine Lake Sevan.
Or have your wedding at a World Heritage Site like Lori’s Sanahin or Haghbat; or at one of the fairytale churches at Haghartsin, Goshavank or Akhtala. One of the most beautiful backdrops for a wedding is Tatev, perched over the Vorotan Canyon, surrounded by forests and a deep reverence.

Romantic spots for honeymoons include:
Stay in a honeymoon suite at one of the high-end hotels in Yerevan, or in one of the wedding palaces that combine banqueting and lodging.
Spend time on a yacht sailing Lake Sevan; stay the night on board, or in a luxury suite in one of the lake’s resorts, or at Avan Tsapatagh.
Stay in a honeymoon suite or cottage in Tzaghkadzor, snuggling next to a warm fire on a winter’s night, skiing the slopes by day.
One of the most romantic spots in the country is Dilijan, Armenia’s “Little Switzerland”. The newly renovated old town will feature a luxury hotel with suites, and guest houses and B&Bs proliferate the small town, many overlooking the Dilijan National Forest.
