Getting to Armenia
Armenia currently has 23 international carriers offering direct flights to Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport from Paris, Vienna, Warsaw, Sharjah, Dubai, Doha, Beirut, Kiev, Moscow, Sochi, Saint Petersburg, Tehran, Ahvaz, Isfahan, Aktau, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Athens, Iraklion, as well as connections to almost every major city in the world.
Overland road routes and rail links connect Armenia with its neighbors. Currently, both Turkey and Azerbaijan have imposed a blockade and have closed their borders with Armenia. Two highway routes and one rail-link are available through Georgia, which provide access to the Black Sea Ports of Batumi and Poti. Additionally, there is one route south through Iran to the Persian Gulf. Armenia has made great strides in developing its network of roads, with significant investment underway on the main highway systems.
