TRAVEL ALERT - COVID-19

The safety of Armenian residents and all visitors to our country is our utmost priority as we work together to minimize the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TRAVELERS TO ARMENIA

Due to the spread of coronavirus in a number of countries, foreigners coming from 16 countries listed below will be temporarily banned from entering the Republic of Armenia. Citizens of Armenia returning from these countries must undergo a 14-day quarantine regime.

List of countries: 

1. The People's Republic of China 
2. The Islamic Republic of Iran
3. South Korea
4. Japan
5. Italy
6. Spain
7. France
8. Germany
9. Switzerland
10. Denmark
11. Austria
12. Belgium
13. Norway
14. Sweden
15. The Netherlands
16. United Kingdom

In addition, all Armenian citizens returning from foreign countries not listed here must self-isolate for a 14-day period. If symptoms of illness occur during the self-isolation, please call the hotline 060 838300 immediately.

On March 16, 2020, Armenia declared a 30-day state of emergency over the coronavirus. 

Armenia and Russia limit passenger traffic, ensuring the return of their citizens to the homeland. The restriction neither applies to citizens of Armenia and Russia returning to their home countries nor to their family members, legally residing persons, diplomatic missions’ staff and their family members, as well as officials having official visits. 

The Government of Georgia and Armenia restricted the air and land communication until March 24, 2020.
