Brace yourself, because a whole plane full of the best players of all times arrives to Armenia’s capital, Yerevan. The match will definitely be hot, and emotions will be at the upper level!

On July 8, legends of international football from Europe and Latin America, top soccer stars who were once on top of their career, will gather in Yerevan for a remarkable match. From the very first seconds after the announcement of the match, a whole crowd of fans is waiting for the legends of football in Yerevan.

The stars will play in two teams: Latin America vs Europe. The reason is that, historically, national teams of these two continents have won the World Cup. So, who will play in Yerevan? Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Gabriel Batistuta, Hernán Crespo, Ivan Zamorano, Ivan Córdoba, Dida, Serginho have already agreed to play for the Latin American team, and Paolo Maldini, Luis Figo, Youri Djorkaeff, Ryan Giggs, Hristo Stoichkov, Ludovic Giuly, Jari Litmanen, Demetrio Albertini will play for the European team.

More stars of football including Javier Zanetti, Carles Puyol, and Kaka are likely to participate too. Organizers are still in negotiations with Ronaldinho.

A fan zone of this year’s World Cup will be created on the Freedom Square, at the heart of Yerevan, and Russian commentators, who are also invited to Armenia, will do a live commentary of the match. Besides the football match, the sports stars will participate in other events too. Particularly, they will play tennis ball with sportsmen from Armenia.

It is not a coincidence that the match will be held on July 8. On that day the World Cup 2018 taking place in Russia will have a day off. Note that, on that day, Armenian people will also be celebrating Vardavar, when people douse each other with water from their buckets and bottles.

You only have to pack up your suitcase and buy tickets that are, by the way, available at rather affordable prices. As to how to get to Yerevan from the World Cup cities, flights from Russia to Yerevan occur every day. The flight takes only 2-3 hours, and the culture and hospitality of the Armenian people will brighten up your weekend!

It is important to know that the prices for the match are not high because this game is first of all a festivity and, besides, has a charitable cause. The prices for the tickets for the match will range from AMD 5,000 (equivalent to $10) to AMD 25,000 (equivalent to $52).
