The domed basilica in Odzun was originally built in the mid-6th century, and rebuilt in 8th century by Catholicos Hovhanness II of Odzun, who as his title implies, was originally from this village. The architecturally significant basilica has a dome with an octahedral drum. Arch galleries extend on all facades except for the eastern one. The unusual funerary monument has two carved stelae between double arches, and was a gift from an Indian king around the 8th century.
