A small church and original belfry on two pylons date back to 1321. Remnants of the adjacent gavit are on the west side of the church with a tympanum relief depicting Virgin and Child, considered among the best in Armenian architecture. This same church was the original home of a relief portrait of Prince Chacha with his son Amir Asan (now in the Hermitage, St. Petersburg, Russia) and a hunting scene of Amir Asan (in the State Museum of Armenian History).
