Should I travel to Yerevan with the kids or not? The answer is easy – yes! Yerevan has endless opportunities for families with children to enjoy and have a great time. So, take your kids to Yerevan to make lifelong memories together.

From thrilling outdoor activities to educational and cultural experiences, Yerevan has something to offer for every family member. Here are the top places you should visit with your little buddies in Yerevan.

Yerevan Zoo

Home to over 2,000 animals and birds from all over the world, Zoo Park is an excellent place to walk around and observe the wild residents of the garden. The park also has a petting zoo where children can interact with friendly animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and goats. Yerevan Zoo Park is your go-to place, especially during the summer as you try to escape the hot weather in the city. At the town's highest point, the Zoo is surrounded by a wonderful garden with many large trees that provide pleasant walking shade.

The park is open daily, from 10 AM to 5 PM (on Monday the park operates 11 AM - 5 PM).

Play City

Located within half an hour’s distance from Yerevan City center, Play City is an excellent place to hang out with your kiddos. It has an indoor playground designed to provide a safe and fun environment for children to play and interact with each other. Play City features a variety of activities, including bowling, mini golf, bumper car, and a green play zone for different age groups. You can go karting while your kids are busy with the indoor activities of CityZen – a city that highlights different professions. At CityZen, your kid can be anyone; a hairdresser, police officer, construction worker, dentist, or painter—a great educational and entertaining way to teach kids about their possible careers.

Allocate at least 3-4 hours for this fun day at Play City.

Megamall and its Magic Land

With over 250 stores, Megamall is one of the largest shopping centers in Yerevan. On the second and third floors of the shopping center, your kids will appreciate the vast opportunities at Magic Land. It’s an ideal place for families to shop, dine, and have fun together. Magic Land offers many activities, such as trampolining, karting, laser tag, drift car racing, a labyrinth, a climbing wall, an autodrome, a Lego building area, OMNI VR, and over 100 game machines.

Megamall is open from 11 AM to 10 PM every day, so you can combine having some fun with shopping time.

TUMO Park

Some fresh air, a lovely breeze, and beautiful canyon views not far from the city center? You’ll find it all at TUMO Park. Walk in the park, enjoy the birds singing, and chill while your kids ride a bicycle or play basketball at the playground.  You and your children will be enthralled by the park's surface, which is made up of triangles of various materials such as concrete, grass, and waterbeds. TUMO Park is also close to the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies. So, if you want to encourage your children to pursue careers in technology, this could be a great place to start!

Yerevan Park

Every child wishes to be a part of a fairy tale. Fortunately, dreams do come true in Yerevan Park! It is an entertaining destination for the entire family, with rollercoasters, bumper cars, and a Ferris wheel to keep everyone entertained. With its spacious playground, green space, and a variety of food options, Yerevan Park is ideal for family outings. Check back closer to your visit for more information on tickets and scheduling.

Where better to enjoy the cozy evenings of Yerevan if not in Cascade Complex? During the day, you can visit Cafesjian Center for The Arts, a modern art museum featuring works by renowned artists from around the world, and spend time in its outdoor and indoor art corners. The museum has a variety of exhibits that appeal to all ages and interests, and it’s worth visiting during the day, but be sure to return there when it gets darker and the lights of the Cascade Complex get brighter. You can stroll in the area, get some ice cream for the kids, and have some coffee for yourself.
