Each year on April 30, museums around the world come together to celebrate International Museum Day — a global event highlighting the role of museums in cultural life.
Museums are more than places that preserve the past. They are creative and inclusive spaces that support education, innovation, and local culture, connecting communities with history, art, and ideas.
In 2024, over 37,000 museums in 158 countries took part in the celebration. In 2026, Yerevan joins once again with a full schedule of events on April 30, including late-night exhibitions, special tours, performances, and free entry at many museums.
