Located behind a picturesque stone wall and wooden door opening to a beautiful and spacious yard in Goris, this museum offers an intimate glimpse into the life and origins of esteemed writer Aksel Bakunts. Born in 1899, Bakunts was a famed writer of prose and film scripts during the early 20th century, until his untimely death in 1937.

The 19th-century house is an attraction itself, having been maintained to appear as it was when Bakunts was living there. This was not only the home where Bakunts spent the first ten years of his life but also returned to later; his parents continued to reside here even after his departure. Visitors can explore the rooms which offer a glimpse into 19th and 20th-century living, including a simple kitchen and bedroom, the space where Bakunts crafted his literary works, displaying his manuscripts, literary creations, library, and personal effects, thus providing an immersive experience of the writer’s life and legacy.
