Yerevan

The capital Yerevan is over 2,800 years old - it is even older than Rome! Gyumri, the city of arts and crafts, will be the most extraordinary stop on your itinerary. This city will take you on a fantastic journey filled with artistic and architectural wonders — no wonder it is known as Armenia's cultural center. Admire the black tufa stone buildings in Kumayri's historic district. Gyumri has a plethora of museums and galleries. The Museum of Urban Life and National Architecture is worth a visit if you want to get a sense of Gyumri's character. Enjoy a delicious meal near the riverbank, pair it with the town's most popular dessert, Yaghli, and a cup of tea made from local herbs.

Dilijan

Are you looking for fresh air and stunning scenery? Dilijan should be your choice. Because of its location in the forests, Dilijan is ideal for a short getaway and provides the most impressive views for nature lovers. Visit Lake Parz or hike from the Goshavank Monastery to Lake Gosh.

Tsaghkadzor

If you enjoy winter sports, you should go to Tsaghkadzor. While the beautiful scenery can be enjoyed all year, Tsaghkadzor is best known as an Armenian ski resort. Ski and snowboard on the slopes of Teghenis Mountain, or get your adrenaline pumping by ziplining. Enjoy the delectable flavors of Armenian cuisine at a local restaurant for lunch.

Etchmiadzin

Etchmiadzin is not only home to the main religious center of all Armenians, but it also attracts architecture enthusiasts. Neoclassical designs on residential structures will amaze you as you stroll through the streets. Visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, St. Hripsime, and St. Gayane churches. If you want to get spiritually and aesthetically satisfied, Etchmiadzin is a must.

Jermuk

Jermuk, one of Armenia's major spa resort cities, is well-known for its mineral water resources. Visit the Arpa River Gorge's Jermuk Waterfall or the natural hot springs by taking an off-road excursion. While visiting Jermuk, be sure to try the pine cone syrup and mountain chewing gum.

Goris

Goris receives a lot of visitors all year round thanks to the impressive riverside city planning. This vibrant city has some really unique architecture, which adds to its charm. Most of it consists of two-story homes from the 19th and 20th centuries with lovely arched gates and stone fences. Even ancient stone pyramids and cave dwellings can be seen in the distance.

Meghri

It would be a mistake to miss the opportunity to travel to Meghri, Armenia's most delectable city ("meghr" in Armenian means honey). You will come across curtains of naturally dried fruit while walking around Meghri. Make sure to sample the local dried figs and Kololek or Kinglet persimmons. Also, check the churches in Mets and Pokr Taghs (districts in Meghri). The interior frescoes of the churches of St. Hovhannes and St. Astvatsatsin are definitely worth seeing.

Stepanavan

Located on the shores of the Dzoraget river, Stepanavan is a small city in northern Armenia ideal for a short trip to relax and enjoy nature. You will notice the smooth transitions from alpine meadows to dense forests and cherish the breathtaking views of Dzoraget Canyon from the bridge.
