Armenia to Present Multifaceted Tourism Potential at Roadshow in Moscow

Event organized by the Tourism Committee of Armenia will serve as a key platform for strengthening cooperation with Russian partners
MOSCOW, September 2025— On September 12, 2025, the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia will host Armenia Day at the Armenia Pavilion at VDNKh in Moscow, a presentation of tourism opportunities and a specialized workshop for industry professionals. The event aims to demonstrate the country's year-round tourism potential.
Armenia is strengthening its position as a universal destination that combines rich UNESCO cultural heritage, diverse natural landscapes, and modern infrastructure. Presentation guests will be introduced to unique cultural and gastronomic routes, as well as Armenia's famous wine heritage. Special attention will be paid to vibrant cultural events and festivals that have become Armenia's hallmark and attract thousands of tourists annually.
The event will serve as a key platform for dialogue with the Russian market, which is a priority for Armenia: according to results from January-July 2025, 452,984 Russian tourists visited the country, accounting for 39% of total tourist flow.
Within the business program of the workshop, participants will receive up-to-date information about new tourism products, trends for the upcoming season, and strategic initiatives of the Tourism Committee, as well as have the opportunity to discuss cooperation prospects with representatives of the official delegation.
"We are delighted to present Armenia's multifaceted tourism potential in Moscow. Our country offers qualitatively different experiences in each season — from ski resorts and thermal springs to gastronomic and wine tours. We see growing interest both in historical heritage and active tourism, and we are purposefully developing infrastructure to meet the demands of the most discerning travelers. We hope the workshop will become a fruitful platform for developing new partnerships and ideas," noted Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairwoman of the Tourism Committee of Armenia.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that starting September 30, the launch of regular Wizz Air flights from Armenia's cultural capital, Gyumri, to resorts in Cyprus will open new opportunities for combined tours for tourists. Direct air communication between the two countries will allow combining rich excursion programs in Armenia with beach holidays on the Mediterranean Sea within a single trip, which is particularly relevant for tourists planning multi-component journeys.
