Founded in 1987 under the initiative of ballet master Norayr Mehrabyan, the "Barekamutyun" State Ensemble has captivated audiences from day one with its diverse repertoire of dances, showcasing lively folk dances from various cultures. Armenian national dance has been presented to the public through the ensemble in a classical, choreographic style, while Norayr Mehrabyan's choreography has established a new direction in Armenian contemporary dance.
