The fortress was built on a hill overlooking the Ararat Plain, and its strategic location made it a key center of commerce and trade in the ancient world. The Urartian Gallery features a number of fascinating objects, such as cups, jars, bronze bracelets, agate beads, and glass. Overall, the museum houses 12,235 exhibits that provide valuable information about the Urartian and post-Urartian civilizations living in the territory.
